Vogue Composition "Toddles"

These are composition 8 in. dolls made by the Vogue company. These dolls were right before the Ginny dolls appeared. The aviator and bride are all original. On the aviator's pant leg is still the paper tag. I enterd the bride two years ago at the doll convention and didn't win a ribbon. Then last year finding my aviator at a huge collectibles sale for $8.00 because head was detached. Easy fix just by restringing him. A few months later at doll convention I entered him and won third place in his category. It was a thrill!!!

Terri Lee's versus Mary Jane's

These girls were made in the 1950's. The two Terri Lee's on the left were produced first and were a big hit. Each face was hand painted. Mary Jane's on the right were copied from the Terri Lee because they looked so much alike it was court ordered to stop making Mary Jane's. Mary Jane's are harder to find because of limited production due to copy infringement rights.

Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls

Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls in this group picture are all bisque jointed from the 1940's. Some have the pudgy tummies, molded socks, molded bangs and one marked Judy Ann. These make them highly collectible. My little girl in the knit ski outfit is from the sport series. Rare and hard to find! Mammy is in one of the various red-n-white check pattern dress. mine is the diagonal print, she is missing her white bandana. She was sold together with the star hand baby in earlier picture.
